Urban Trauma Counseling Center's Psychiatric Day Treatment Program provides a structured program for outpatient mental health psychiatric services for adults as an alternative to inpatient psychiatric care.
Our Day Treatment Program is comprised of our Partial Hospitalization Day Program (6+hours per day) and our step down Intensive Outpatient Program (3+ hours per day).
Psychiatric Day Treatment provides a coordinated set of individualized and group therapeutic supportive services to clients with psychiatric disorders who need more intense treatment than is typically available with their traditional therapists.
Client receives intensive collaborative treatment, from a team of Psychiatric and Mental Health Professionals, during the day, and unlike inpatient hospital stays, clients are able to return home in the evenings.
Our day treatment program will assist clients in beginning the stabilization and rehabilitation process and will provide supportive transitional services to clients who are no longer acutely ill, but still require moderate supervision to avoid risk, and/or are not fully able to re-enter the community or the workforce.
The Mental Health Partial Hospitalization Program is provided provided daily between the hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm. The Intensive Outpatient Program is provided daily between the hours of 1pm - 4pm.
This client's treatment can last from one to six months or as little as one week. Before the program finishes, the treatment team helps make a plan for the individual’s ongoing care and makes sure they have all the information they need, such as important phone numbers and medication information.
